Our Purpose

At Bearsden Baptist Church, our Purpose is to be, and to be making, mature disciples of Jesus Christ, to the glory of The Father, through the power of The Holy Spirit at work within, and through us.

We believe we are called to be 'Salt and Light' to the world around us, by centering our lives on Jesus Christ and living obediently according to His word.

Where We Began

Bearsden Baptist Church was constituted on the 7 January 1973 – the fruit of the prayers of small groups of evangelically minded Christians back in the 1940’s and 50’s. For half a century now, Bearsden Baptist Church has been a centre for Christian worship and disciple-making.

Bearsden Baptist Church is a diverse and welcoming community of believers committed to wholeheartedly following Jesus. We are united by our faith in Christ, dedicated to worshiping God, and to growing in our relationship with Him and with each other. We are a church passionate about Loving God, Loving others, and making disciples.

When We Meet

Join us for our Sunday service at 10:30am. We also have various ministries and activities throughout the week, including youth groups, Bible studies, and community outreach programs. Everyone is welcome to join us as we grow together in faith and fellowship.

What to Expect

A friendly welcome from the Bearsden Baptist Church family awaits you at our Sunday morning service, which starts at 10:30 am. Our services are family friendly and include times of worship, sharing, prayer, and receiving from God’s word. Generally, our services aim to finish at about 11:50am after which you are encouraged and invited to join us for tea, coffee, and biscuits as we enjoy fellowship and community together.

Our prayer ministry team is also available after the service if you wish to speak or pray with them confidentially.

We also offer groups for all ages: a crèche (ages 0–3), Kids Church (ages 3–P6), and Catalyst (P7–S6).
