Prayer Ministry at Bearsden Baptist Church

Philippians 4 verse 6 – 7, New International Version (NIV) “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”.

Here at Bearsden Baptist Church, we believe that God is both good and great! He is a God who communicates with us, and loves us to communicate with Him, which is why prayer is a vital part of our relationship.

Life can be difficult sometimes, and we can bring our requests to God at any time, but it can also be good to pray with others.

That’s why we offer the opportunity to come for prayer at the close of every Sunday morning service, with members of the prayer team.

However, you don’t have to have a problem to access prayer ministry! Life has both joys and sorrows and our role is to be with you as you seek guidance and encouragement from God no matter what the situation.

Nothing is too small or too large to bring to our loving Father God. If it is important to you, then it is something to bring to God.

When we pray with you, we seek to strengthen, encourage and comfort (1 Corinthians 14 verse 3), relying totally on the Holy Spirit to guide us.

As a prayer team, we have often felt drawn back to Isaiah 61 v 1: “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners”.

Prayer ministry is always confidential.
